The North Carolina Regional Lacers (NCRL) is a regional group dedicated to the study and appreciation of all types of lace, but especially bobbin lace, needle lace, and tatting. We are composed of numerous local lace groups and meet once a year for Lace Day in the spring. The members also host lace workshops throughout the year. The NCRL is a charter group of the International Organization of Lace, Inc. (IOLI).
Membership in the NCRL includes quarterly NCRL newsletters, biennial Directory/Handbook, and access to the NCRL Lace Library. Membership runs from July 1 to June 30. You receive all four issues of the Newsletter regardless of when you apply.
Dues are $15.00 per year. You can pay for one year or two years ($30) at a time. Print the NCRL Membership Form and mail completed form and check to treasurer. Make out the check to NCRL.
Lacis on the west coast does mail order for most needlework supplies and books. I know they sell Battenburg tapes and thread. Go to http://www.lacis.com/catalog/
For bobbin lace supplies I recommend http://vansciverbobbinlace.com/
Happy lacing,
Michelle
Is there an email address to send general information? Or do I use the comment section? I am looking for Michelle’s email address but cannot find it on the site. I can understand not essentially broadcasting a personal email, so perhaps an NCRL email could be listed. If all the officers can access it, emails are unlikely to be overlooked.
Dear Arlene,
My email is zzmclwc@hotmail.com
