Announcing Fall Lace Day, November 1, 2025

Registration begins at 9:00 AM at the Robert and Pearl Seymour Center, 2551 Homestead Rd., Chapel Hill, NC 27516 (Google Maps link)

Join fellow lacemakers for a day devoted to making lace and enjoying the fellowship of lacemakers.

COMMEMORATIVE BOBBINS by Chris Parsons, featuring a hedgehog / fall motif. Order deadline is August 31, 2025.

GOODY BAG for first 20 registrants.

BUFFET LUNCH from Saladelia in Durham – funded by the Alice Rosenbroek fund. Alice loved lace days and all gatherings of lacemakers.

    NEEDLE LACE WRAP AROUND WORKSHOP: Prabha is organizing this wrap-around workshop with Carolyn Wetzel on Oct. 30, 31 and Nov. 2. See separate announcement and registration form.

    BISCORNU CHALLENGE: Bring your Biscornu to display. We will vote for our favorites and Jane Armstrong will award prizes to the top 10. See attached Biscornu Challenge write up if you need help making one.

    Spring Lace Day, April 23, 2022

    We had a great Spring Lace Day at Wesleyan College in Durham, North Carolina. We are starting to plan for a Fall Lace Day. Watch this space for more information.

    Fall 2021 Lace Day

    NCRL held its Fall Lace Day on October 30, 2021, at Wesleyan College in Durham, NC. For the first time in a long time, we got together to make lace, visit, shop, swap treasures, have lunch and just be together! Thank you to everyone who planned this enjoyable day, provided goodie bags and free items for Lace Maker’s Alley, and helped set it up and take it down. We are a great guild because of our members! The board is starting to make plans for a Spring Lace Day in 2022. We hope to see you then.

    Spring into Fall Lace Day, Sept. 19, 2020

    As you know, we had to reschedule our Spring Lace Day due to the coronavirus pandemic.  We were planning another Fall Lace Gathering so we will combine it into Spring into Fall Lace Dy. We have secured the Seymour Center for Saturday September 19th and our Spring planned activities are lined up for the new date.  Vicki Lamb has graciously agreed to organize the event.

    Workshops: The workshops we scheduled are planned for the new date.

    Wrap Around Workshop with Holly Van Sciver

    Holly will be here for lace day and the workshop. Kris Conrad will touch base with those of you who signed up.

    Vendors

    Both Holly Van Sciver and Richard Worthen will be vending on September 19.

    Guest Speaker

    As originally planned, Karen Douglas will present Bobbins through Time: How the Past Influences the Present.

    Commemorative Bobbins and Shuttles

    We will distribute the Spring Bobbins on September 19th.  We will also have the NCRL Commemorative bobbins and shuttles at that time. If you are not coming on September 19th, please find a friend who can pick up your order. Unclaimed orders will be mailed after the event.

    Registration

    If you registered for Spring and ordered lunch, we assume you will be coming to lace day on Sep. 19th and your lunch order remains in place. If you registered and are not coming in September, please let Liz Redford know and she will refund your lunch money. If you did not register for Spring Lace day and are coming in September, please fill out the registration form and mail your registration by September 1.
