IOLI just completed its 2026 convention, hosted by the North Carolina Regional Lacers. The theme was: From the Mountains to the Sea.

Hundreds of lacers congregated from across the country and internationally, with some coming from as far as Australia, to attend classes, commune with like-minded lace makers, and, of course, shop.
Attendees had a number of classes to choose from, taught by excellent teachers.

Between classes the vendor area was always busy.
There was an opening banquet, a tat-off (won by Martha Ess), a teacher showcase, our Annual General Meeting, and a closing banquet. OIDFA also snuck in a lunch meeting during the week for those who are members of both organizations.

The convention was a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and reconnect with old friends.
Next year’s convention location will be held at the Mirabeau Park Hotel & Convention Center in Spokane Valley, Washington.
